DNS Management
Ultra-fast authoritative DNS with global propagation in seconds. Manage all your records from a single dashboard with automatic GeoDNS routing.
Adding & Configuring Subdomains
Seamlessly accelerate blogs, stores, and staging environments (e.g. blog.yourdomain.com, shop.yourdomain.com, staging.yourdomain.com) with fast.site. Each subdomain is added as its own domain entry and gets its own SSL certificate, caching rules, and analytics.
Method 1: fast.site Managed DNS (Full Setup)
Use this method if your apex domain already uses fast.site nameservers. Subdomains are added directly inside the fast.site DNS panel — no need to touch your external registrar:
- 1.Go to Dashboard → Domains → select your apex domain → DNS Records.
- 2.Click Add Record and select record type (A for Origin IP or CNAME for Origin Hostname).
- 3.Enter the subdomain prefix (e.g. 'blog' or 'shop') in the Name field.
- 4.Toggle Proxy Status to ON (Orange Cloud) so Fast Edge Cache™, SSL, and optimization apply.
- 5.Click Save. fast.site automatically provisions a dedicated Let's Encrypt SSL certificate within seconds.
Method 2: External DNS Provider (Proxy-Only)
Use this method if your DNS remains with Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Route53. You add the subdomain to fast.site first, then point your external DNS to fast.site:
- 1.Click Add Domain in the fast.site dashboard and enter the full subdomain (e.g. staging.yourdomain.com).
- 2.Copy the DNS verification TXT record (e.g. fastsite-verify=...) shown on screen.
- 3.Add the TXT verification record at your external DNS provider.
- 4.Point the subdomain's A record to the fast.site Edge IP, or CNAME to fastresolver.space.
- 5.Click Verify in fast.site. Once confirmed, your subdomain status turns Active with automated SSL.
